Step 1: Open the Start Menu.
Either press the Windows key, or press the Start button found at the bottom left of your screen.
Step 2: Click ‘Type here to search.’
Step 3: In the Search box, type regedit, then click on the option that appears.
Step 4: You’ll now be taken to a new window.

Step 5: Double click the option HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. It’s found on the left side panel.
Step 6: Double click Software, then Policies, then Microsoft.
Step 7: Right Click the Microsoft folder.
Step 8: Highlight the ‘New’ option in the pop-up window.
Step 7: Click on the ‘Key’ option in the second pop-up window.
Step 8: You can now type in a name for the new key. Type ‘Personalization’ without the quotes and then press the Enter key.
Step 9: On the newly created Personalization folder, right click it.
Step 10: Highlight the ‘New’ option in the pop-up window.
Step 11: Click on the ‘DWORD (32-bit) Value’ option.
Step 12: On the right side panel, type ‘NoLockScreen’ and then press the Enter key.
Step 13: Double click on the NoLockScreen listing.
Step 14: In the ‘Value Data’ field, type 1.
Step 15: Click the ‘OK’ button
Step 16: Restart your PC. Your lock screen will no longer appear!

Step 1: Open the Start Menu
Step 2: Type regedit and double click the option that appears
Step 3: On the left hand panel open HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SOFTWARE, then Policies, then Microsoft.

Step 5: On the right hand panel, double-click the NoLockScreen listing.
Step 6: Change the value to 0, then click OK.
Restart the PC and the computer will now have the lock screen enabled. You can follow steps 1-6, then change the value to 1 at any point to disable it once more.
