Gears of War 4 is getting the biggest update it has ever received this summer. The new update was unveiled at E3 2017 and includes a new Horde mode, a new difficulty, extra achievements, and more.
Check out the details of the biggest update so far for Gears of War 4 below.
New Horde Update
The new Horde update will be the biggest feature for the next Gears of War 4 update. With the new Horde update, which has been dubbed Rise of the Horde, 15 new horde skills have been brought to the mix.
Level 6 skills have been added to existing skills, and there is now a new loot drop system to add value to replaying the Horde mode.
The new Horde mode is also getting new difficulty modes, both of which have been discussed below.
New Difficulty Modes
In the new Gears of War 4 update, two more difficulty modes are going to be added to Gears of War 4. These two modes can be played in Horde mode and Campaign.
The first new game mode is called Inconceivable. This is one level up from Insane difficulty – enemies are tougher and you’ll be even weaker in Horde mode.
Enemies will be even harder to deal with, so you’ll need to make use of the new skills and new skill level to get through the waves alive.
As for campaign, Inconceivable is far harder than Insane, but it takes a slightly different twist. You’ll have less health in this game mode, but so will your enemies.
All of the weapons you come across will have far less ammo in, so you’ll need to make sure every shot goes where it is supposed to.
Ironman mode is the second game mode for the new Gears of War update – if you die in Ironman mode in the campaign, you’ll have to start from the beginning.
In Horde mode, if all players die in a single wave, the game will end.
Gears of War 4 will also be getting a number of new additions in the latest update.
There will be new 20 achievements worth 500 Gamerscore, Gears of War 2 map, Avalanche, will be making a return, as well as Rust Lung from Gears of War 3.
On top of this, Gears of War 4 will be available as a trial during June – players can play up to 10 hours of the game and the first act of the campaign is available for players to jump into.
