On May 17, Microsoft announced Windows 10 Insider Preview Build for PC, as well as Windows 10 Mobile Insider Preview Build 15215 to Windows Insiders.
The update also came with their first Bug Bash for the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, which ran through 11:59 pm on May 21, Sunday.
What’s New in Windows 10 Build 16199 ?
Update 16199 comes with a number of cool new features for Windows 10 users, specifically, for the My People feature.
- Windows 10 users can now see emoji from their pinned contacts at their taskbars. Additionally, there’s a new counter that will be displayed to make it easier to see and check unseen messages.
- Sharing in Windows 10 has also been made easier. Users can now drag files and send them directly to their pinned contacts. Or, they can also share them directly to any one of them by choosing them among a list of recommended people.
- PC gamers can also now choose to broadcast just the game’s audio to Beam instead of the audio of their entire PC. This can be done via the Settings > Gaming > Broadcasting and checking the “Per-app audio” option. The Game Bar Audio Settings have also been renamed to Game DVR.
- The update also comes with a new “Game Monitor” feature under Settings > Gaming. It currently has no use but should be updated later on.
Other Improvements and Fixes
Update 16199 also comes with a wide slew of additional features. It makes it easier for users to understand the current status of their system. Also, it gives ability to further customize their experience.
